Also known as collagen induction therapy, microneedling is a treatment with a tool containing 12 tiny surgical grade needles in the tip, adjusted between 0.5 and 2 millimeter depth. Unlike microblading the microneedling treatment creates hundreds of invisible micro-punctures from the needles in the skin, which allows the hyaluronic acid and peptide serum applied before and after to soak in deeply.
The micro-injuries stimulate the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen and elastin production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging. Because it doesn’t use heat and is totally mechanical, microneedling is safe for all skin colors and types. Results are thicker skin, with a beautiful tone and texture. Vogue calls it “the next big thing in skin care.”
For even more anti-aging power, combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP).

MICRONEEDLING TREATMENT
This fractional microneedling treatment uses a powered, disposable needle tip to precisely induce collagen production. It allows penetration of specific serums, including your own natural serum, to give a more youthful appearance.

What is it?
The microneedling device is a sophisticated method of needling technology. It has a multi-speed motor and adjustable needle depths to provide safe, individualized treatments for all skin types. It can be used as a treatment on its own, but is usually used in combination with other skin care treatments. One of the most important aspects of treatment is its ability to act as a dermal infusion device with serums.
How does it work?
Fine, vibrating needles pierce the skin at a predetermined speed and depth which are adjusted for different treatment areas. The mild damage to the skin stimulates collagen.
What does it treat?
Fine lines, crow's feet, skin texture, pores, dull skin, scars, and stretch marks improve in 4 to 6 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Together with Selphyl PRP (platelet-rich plasma using your own natural serum), it can stimulate even more collagen for a smoother, more radiant complexion.
How is the procedure done?
An anaesthetic cream may be applied for more aggressive treatments. Just before the treatment, a skin specific serum is applied and then several passes are performed. It may feel a bit scratchy but it is a comfortable treatment. It is an alternate treatment method for injecting Selphyl superficially into the skin. If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), an oral antiviral medication should be taken prior to treatment.
How will I look after the treatment?
You may just have some pinkness for a few hours after the treatment but if you had an aggressive treatment for lines or scars, you may have pinprick bleeding or red marks under the skin for a few days and some itchiness or tenderness. Make-up can be applied. You can return to normal activities but you should use sun protection.
Can the microneedling treatment be used with other procedures?
Definitely! It may be combined with several treatments including facials, SilkPeel microdermabrasion, OxyGeneo, chemical peels, LED light, Selphyl, IPL, lasers, Thermage and injectables.
